Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes
TBCH has six locations across the state and is a ministry of the churches of the Tennessee Baptist Convention. It seeks to share the love of Jesus Christ and minister to hundreds of children (ages 5-18) and families in crisis by providing residential care, counseling, spiritual guidance, educational assistance, and adoption-related services.
Brentwood Baptist Church first started meeting at the Children’s Home in 1968 before constructing our first building on Franklin Road. Lee and Priscilla Harrison, Brentwood Baptist members, moved from their home state of Michigan to serve at the TBCH. Since 2004, TBCH has been a Hope for the World Missions Offering partner.
TBCH Facts:
- 18 children have decided to follow Jesus
- 166 children are living in residential care
- 21 family members have been cared for through Family Preservation and support
programs
- 17 children are supported in foster care homes
- 8 students are supported in college
Pray For:
- Lee and Pricilla Harrison as they have recently accepted new responsibilities with the Florida Baptist Children’s Home.
- Volunteers to help with tutoring needs as the house parents have really stepped up to meet this need.
- Strength for the house parents as they work with and care for the children, who also require help with homework and other school assignments.
- Students who have been here only a short while. Many of them struggle in adjusting to so many new surroundings.
