In 2004, the Brentwood Baptist Student Ministry took its first mission team to Chicago where they met Jamie Thompson, then on staff at Armitage Baptist Church. From that first encounter, a partnership has developed with Jamie, who is now leading a new church start in the Garfield community of Chicago under the sponsorship of Armitage Baptist. Through our Hope for the World Missions Offerings, Brentwood Baptist provides Armitage Church Garfield with significant support. Thie Missions Ministry is pleased to work with the Student Ministry, Armitage Baptist Church and Jamie Thompson to bring hope to a very needy corner of the Windy City. Armitage Church Garfield has already reached dozens of Garfield residents for Christ.
