God intends to use His people as His ambassadors in calling men to Himself.  His followers have been charged to go and to send so that the world may be redeemed.  God’s heart for the world is clearly seen in Genesis 12:1-3, Isaiah 49:6, Acts 1:8, and Revelation 5:9,10.

Brentwood Baptist Church affirms that God’s love and offer of redemption extends to all the peoples of the earth.  It is His supreme desire to make disciples of His Son among all peoples of the world and to see His church established among every tribe, tongue, and race.

To this end, our missions efforts will reflect both the biblical mandate and the giftedness, skills and passions of our people.  Our core values, therefore, are:

• We believe that prayer is the foundation for all missions work.
• We believe that every believer should be leading lost people to salvation through Jesus Christ.
• We believe that individuals should be equipped, mentored, involved and financially supported in local, national and international mission opportunities.
• We believe that support should be given to ministry endeavors working for the social justice of the disenfranchised of the world and the glory of God.
• We believe that support should be given to mission endeavors that result in the establishment of viable New Testament churches and Christian ministries.
